About Winnwell
ONE OF THE OLDEST COMPANIES IN HOCKEY IS BACK, MAKING INNOVATIVE MOVES ON THE ICE AGAIN.
Winnwell was originally incorporated as Wellinger Limited. The company name was changed to Wellinger & Dunn in the 1950s and finally to Winnwell Sporting Goods Limited in 1976.
Winnwell was sold to Cooper Canada in 1978. At the time, Cooper was the largest manufacturer of hockey equipment in the world. In 1980 the Winnwell trademark was acquired by Irwin Toys Limited. Following Irwin Toy's bankruptcy in 2002, the Winnwell trademark was purchased by Brimatin Holdings, Inc., which retains ownership today.
What's New from Winnwell
Over the past several years, Winnwell has been forging ahead with a number of new product innovations, adding even more leadership excitement to its already extensive lineup.
Our most noteworthy advance is our Cleansport NXT. This environmentally friendly patented odour management technology is a truly revolutionary step in the hockey industry. The technology is available in our protective equipment, bags and accessories. We expect it to change everybody's idea about how hockey equipment smells. We've also innovated significantly with our composite stick lineup.
Our strategy to outperform our competition is working and we look forward to continued leadership in technology.
Our leading-edge technologies are helping us gain more and more shelf space with retailers around the world.
The company actively participates in various charities and fundraising initiatives to support kids in sport. Canadian Tire's Jumpstart Foundation is the most widely know charitable organization that Winnwell supports regularly. Learn more at canadiantire.ca/jumpstart
